TCM– Transmission Control Unit (TCM) is found in the latest Mercedes MP4 and MP5 truck models. The control unit is responsible for the operation of the automatic transmission.
There are several types of hardware TCM:
- WABCO
- BOSCH
- FESTO
The TCM cannot be switched from one vehicle to another because it has an IMOBILIZER in its software.
If you replace the TCM, the vehicle will start but it will not be possible to change gears.
All TCM models can be cloned or customized to the vehicle.
